• Striped skunks have two scent glands at the base of their tail that contain a sulfur-based fluid they use to defend themselves from predators
• They can spray this fluid up to 10 feet and usually spray five times before running out
• Striped Skunks gets their name from the Latin word “mephit” meaning “bad odor”
