Did You Know?

• Pandas eat almost exclusively bamboo shoots and leaves. They eat from 25 to 40 pounds per day.
• Unlike other bears, the Giant Pandas do not store fat and therefore do not hibernate. Consequently, they are constantly in search of food.
• The pattern of the panda’s fur allows them to blend in with both light and dark backgrounds  (which is particularly useful in a bamboo forest)
